Personal Experience

Melinda Quiat is a fourth generation Denver native who has been actively involved in the Quiat family business since 2000. In 2006, she became COO and took over as CEO in 2010. As CEO, Melinda is not only responsible for the strategic planning and growth of the company, but she also oversees the asset management of a large number of Real Estate and Oil and Gas ventures, and several venture capital and private equity investments. In addition, she serves on the advisory Board of NexusBSP LLC, an energy investment focused firm.

Ms. Quiat is an alumna of the University of Denver with a Master of Social Work (MSW), and the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, with B.A.s in Psychology and Anthropology. Ms. Quiat’s diverse employment background include: professional Ballet Dancer, Lab Coordinator for an educational psychology research program and a Mutual Fund Accountant.

Ms. Quiat is devoted to community involvement, philanthropy and improving community through affiliation with several non-profit organizations: Anti-Defamation League (ADL) – Board Chair 2018-2020, National Commissioner (2014-present); Mountain States Regional Board Member (2008-present); LGBT Task Force Chair (2012-2014), Civil Rights Committee Co-Chair; Development Co-Chair (2015-2017). Colorado Public Radio – Member Board of Directors (2009-2015); Rotary Club of Denver – Member (2009-2015) and Denver Rotary Community Foundation Trustee (2012 – 2015). Institute for Studies of Israel in the Middle East at the Korbel Institute University of Denver – Member of the Board. Gerald M. and Roberta N. Quiat Family Foundation – CEO.
